Prue is one of the country’s foremost authorities on all things culinary. She is known for her formidable business acumen and is a past winner of The Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year.

2020 saw Prue and her daughter Li-Da, bravely take a camera crew with them on an emotional journey to Cambodia, Li-Da's place of birth, in Channel 4's intimate documentary, Journey With My Daughter.

In 2017, Prue was invited to join Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off, alongside Paul Hollywood. In 2020, the pair are joined in the tent by Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas.

2016 saw Prue working on My Kitchen Rules UK for Channel 4.

Prue is the founder of Leith’s cookery school, which has seen many thousands of students pass through its doors. Her interest in proper training and education led to involvement with endless charities to do with chef training, teaching children to cook in schools and training young people. Prue’s unremitting obsession is getting children to eat healthy school dinners. Until January 2010, she chaired the School Food Trust, a government Quango set up to help schools meet the new food standards that became law after Jamie Oliver set the cat among the pigeons over school food.

What is probably less well known about her that she is also the published author of five works of fiction and a biography ‘Relish: My Life on a Plate’, which can be added to her impressive list of twelve cookery books. She has in the past been the cookery correspondent for The Daily Mail, Sunday Express, The Guardian, Prue has most recently seen on our television screens as one of the judges on the BBC’s successful series ‘Great British Menu’ followed by  ‘Best Of British’.
