Tom has multifarious talents. He is a trained journalist and started his career working in the racing world; he did a two year stint working for the International Racing Bureau in London as an in-house journalist. He is also a trained horticulturalist and worked on the original restoration team for the Heligan garden. In 2004 he began to concentrate on writing and broadcasting. He has been the gardening correspondent for The Saturday Times for the last two years, writing a weekly column. He is a published author of specialist horticultural books and has written extensively about the Heligan garden in the bestselling Heligan. A portrait of the Lost Gardens and has released a DVD providing an 80 minute close up of gardening tips The Gardening Secrets, hints and tips of the lost Gardens of Heligan. Tom is a passionate environmentalist and is acknowledged as one of the nation’s leading experts on organic gardening. He is a vastly informative speaker.
