Martin is one of the new front of camera team members of the BBC’s  successful Springwatch/Autumnwatch programming, He joined the team during Spring 2009. As well as acting as a guest presenter on the main programme he is also the presenter/producer for the shows offshoot programme ‘Autumnwatch Unsprung’

What may not be so well known to the viewing public is that Martin has been working on these shows for many years, but behind the scenes as one of the BBC’s senior producers. It is only recently that he has been persuaded to place himself in front of the cameras, which has offered the viewing public the opportunity to share his enthusiasm and knowledge about the flora and fauna that surrounds us.  In 2007 Martin left the BBC to become a freelance producer/cameraman and now we must add ‘presenter’ to that list of screen talents.  Martin is currently flying around the world filming a series for BBC1 that he is to present  called ‘Natures Miracle Babies’ This will be a highly emotional, personal journey through the world of captive breeding – working with animals on the brink of extinction. This is due for transmission late 2010.
